# Valuist

> Plan six tasks privately, with on-phone AI. Valuist is a free Ivy Lee daily planner for iPhone and Android, published by Warm Wisdom Press (Jumping Ahead, Inc.). Each day you rank up to six tasks and do them in order. Planning suggestions run on the phone's own AI, and Valuist has no account, no servers, no ads and no tracking.

## What it is
- Valuist is a free daily planner app for iPhone and Android.
- It is built on the Ivy Lee method, a planning routine from 1918.
- Each day you pick up to six tasks, rank them, and do them in that order.
- Unfinished tasks wait in a drawer instead of cluttering the next day.
- The number of tasks per day can be changed in Settings.
- It runs on iOS 17 or later and Android 8.0 or later.

## The Ivy Lee method
- In 1918 Ivy Lee advised Charles M. Schwab, president of Bethlehem Steel.
- Each evening, write down the six most important tasks for tomorrow.
- Put them in order of real importance.
- Work on the first until it is finished, then the next.
- Move unfinished tasks to the next day's list.
- Schwab is said to have paid Lee $25,000 for the advice.

## Plan my day (on-phone AI)
- "Plan my day" turns a typed or dictated brain dump into a ranked plan.
- It uses Apple Intelligence on iPhone (iOS 26 or later, supported models).
- It uses Gemini Nano on supported Android phones.
- The text is processed on the phone and never sent to a cloud AI.
- On other phones, you rank the list yourself; everything else works.
- Saying "on Thursday" in the brain dump puts a task on Thursday.

## Features
- Value tags: High, Medium or Low.
- Valuist warns when no task today touches a High-value item.
- Tasks pushed back three times get an honest prompt: do it, park it or drop it.
- A task stuck at number one for days can be split into smaller steps.
- Projects hold bigger goals; Valuist flags a project that goes quiet.
- Repeating tasks and tasks set for a future day.
- An optional separate weekend list, or weekends off.
- Days of rest: Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Hindu holidays, or custom days off.
- On rest days there are no reminders and nothing counts as skipped.
- One planning reminder, evening or morning; no streaks, badges or guilt.

## Privacy
- Valuist collects no personal information.
- There is no account and no sign-up.
- Tasks are stored on the phone.
- iPhone backups go to the user's own iCloud account; Android uses the user's own Google account backup.
- The publisher cannot access those backups.
- No ads, no advertising ID, no analytics and no trackers.
- Export creates a file encrypted with the user's own passphrase (AES-256-GCM).
- Settings → Your data → Delete all data erases the phone's data and the iCloud backup.
